The most beautiful beaches in Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and the Caribbean
The most beautiful beaches in Cancun
Playa Delfines
- Playa Delfines is located on both sides through vast stretches of resort-dominated beach and is the largest, most popular, and most beautiful public beach in Cancun. An image of frighteningly bleached sand backed by the most electric blue water. You'll find rental umbrellas, straws, and restrooms along the sands. You may also hear Playa Delfines known as El Mirador, because it has a hilltop deck overlooking the waves and the surrounding area.
Costa Mujeres
- About 30 minutes north of Cancun's hotel district is a new gated luxury development located on a patch of sunny sand? Costa Mujeres is a gated community with many all-inclusive resorts, restaurants, golf, and more. Costa Mujeres has impressive natural attractions to explore, too, such as Isla Blanca Beach, archaeological sites, Chacmuchuc Lagoon, and more. Note: Isla Blanca Beach is often considered the best beach.
The most beautiful beaches in Cozumel
Playa Punta Morena
- The east coast of Cozumel is arguably the most beautiful on the entire island. The cruise port is on the west coast, facing the mainland, so most tourist traffic tends to stay on the western and southern shores. But the East Coast is more rugged, raw, local, and untouched. Playa Punta Morena is located halfway along the east coast and offers a stunning stretch of fine sand. Because they are directly exposed to the sea, Eastern beaches can be very interesting for surfers, especially since the surfing culture is not so great on the Caribbean side of Mexico.
Playa El Silo
- If heaven truly is a place on earth, it is in Playa El Cielo. At least, it's a paradise for snorkelers and divers. This perfect sugary sand is famous not only for its clear water but for the thousands (yes, thousands) of starfish that can be found under the water's surface.
The most beautiful beaches in the Playa del Carmen
Playacar
- Playacar is more than just a beach - it's a completely gated community south of downtown Playa del Carmen. Behind the security gates, you'll find some of the city's most expensive homes and several hotels. But Playacar's main draw is the stark white sandy stretch of arguably the beach. Good news for those on foot: Walking the Playacar to use the beach is perfectly acceptable. If you have a car, you will not be allowed to drive without a reservation somewhere. So we recommend booking a resort within Playacar or being close enough to get in.
Playa88
- Playa Del Carmen Playa 88 is one of three Blue Flag beaches in Playa del Carmen. It's just south of Punta Esmeralda, so that you can expect a mix of locals and tourists, but not as many people as you might find in Playa Mamitas. With its soft white sand and gentle warm waters, this beach is all about the "wow" factor. Being a Blue Flag beach means that quality can be expected, from clean water and sand to amenities like showers and public toilets.
The most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean
Grace Bay, Turks, and Caicos
- The Gorgeous Grace Bay, on the island of Providenciales, is one of the top tourist attractions in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Yet, this idyllic stretch of sand and sea seems too beautiful to be true. As soft as flour, sparkling white sand blends with the clear waters in breathtaking shades of blue for eight astonishing kilometers; the reefs are shimmering offshore. Swim in the crystalline shallows or venture onto the reefs to see stingrays, the turtles, and tropical fish darting among the reefs at Princess Alexandra Marine Park. With beauty above and below the water, it's no wonder this gorgeous stretch ranks as the best beaches in the world.
Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
- Turquoise waters and white sand dotted with casuarina and coconut palms highlight this famous beach in the Cayman Islands. It's nearly six miles across, but you'll still find plenty of room to rest on its soft sand. The head north to escape the cruise ship crowds, and also you can plunge under the palm fronds and listen to the calming mud of gentle waves that brush the shore. The Seven Mile Beach is also one of the best beaches for swimming in the Caribbean, with its clear waters and fine sand.
